A feud within the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) has reached a boiling point, with some notable members engaging in a public spat that has resulted in the police being called to the scene. Poonam Dhillon (former president), Padmini Kolhapure, Upasana Singh, Kunickaa Sadanand and Priti Sapru were said to be part of the confrontation.

The dispute centers around a seemingly missing document, as well as various questions that have been raised about the association’s committee. So intense was the argument that officers of the Mumbai Police ended up being summoned to mediate. Videos of the tussle have since made the rounds online.

The CINTAA dispute emerges amid already prevalent leadership trouble in the industry’s veteran artistes body. Following a series of resignations within the executive committee, fresh elections had been slated for September 12, to which a court had given the green light albeit declaring its result as pending any verdict from the extant lawsuit.
